SDF holds district-level meeting, discuss on strengthening party organisation

The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) successfully convened a district-level meeting for Namchi district at Ghurpisey near Namchi town on Thursday.

Chaired by SDF president and former Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, the district-level meeting witnessed the active and enthusiastic participation of key party functionaries. They deliberated on strategies to strengthen and expand the party’s organisational structure at the grassroots level, a SDF press release informs.

The primary agenda of the meeting was a comprehensive discussion on organisational strengthening, capacity building, and grassroots mobilisation aimed at revitalising the SDF’s presence and outreach across Namchi District.

Senior party functionaries shared their insights and reaffirmed their collective commitment to strengthening the SDF party organisation in Namchi district and carrying forward the party’s vision, policies, and programmes to the people of Sikkim.

On this occasion, six party members were also entrusted with new responsibilities to enhance the Namchi district-level organisational framework. The SDF appointees for Namchi district were Nirmal Pradhan (organisation in-charge), Binod Rai (treasurer), Sarikah Sherpa (vice treasurer), Bikash Rai (coordinator in-charge, Namchi-Singithang), James Rai (coordinator in-charge, Poklok-Kamrang), and Binod Jogi (secretary, frontal organisation).

The SDF reaffirmed its resolve to intensify grassroots engagement and continue its mission of serving the people of Sikkim with renewed energy and purpose, the release adds.
