Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, along with the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Nambol and the Executive Engineer of PHED, conducted an inspection of two Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) project sites in the district today.

The inspection covered the Augmentation of Utlou Water Supply Scheme and the Augmentation of Khujairok Water Supply Scheme. Officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on various components of the projects, including treatment units, pipelines, and pump houses.

DC Pooja Elangbam reviewed the progress of the works and enquired about key aspects of implementation and functionality. Emphasizing thei importance of timely completion, she urged officials to stay committed to their responsibilities and ensure that safe and adequate drinking water reaches every household at the earliest.

Officials from the concerned departments and representatives of local bodies also accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit. Later, the team also inspected the Augmentation of Toupokpi Water Supply Scheme.
